How does the M14-1 Scare Cannon operate?
The M14-1 Scare Cannon creates a brief, extremely loud burst of sound at configurable intervals by igniting a small charge of propane gas and amplifying the volume of each detonation within its barrel. Such successive bursts discourage wildlife from inhabiting in areas where it is deployed. Please refer to the main product page for more information.
Does using the M14-1 Scare Cannon violate noise ordinances?
The M14-1 Scare Cannon is capable of producing sound levels that may violate local noise ordinances. Ensuring legal use of any propane cannon is the operator's sole responsibility and should only be conducted only in accordance with local laws and regulations.
What is the M14-1 Warranty?
All propane cannons are warrantied against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from date of purchase. Faulty items will be replaced in whole or in part at Good Life's discretion and pursuant to our warranty policy with an exact or comparable item.
Does the M14-1 Scare Cannon contain any hazardous material?
With the exception of its lead-acid battery, the M14-1 Scare Cannon and its accessories are manufactured in compliance with RoHS directives.
Is the M14-1 Scare Cannon dangerous?
The M14-1 Scare Cannon is safe to use and operate when all published operating instructions and precautions are strictly observed.
Can the M14-1 Scare Cannon be used indoors?
The M14-1 Scare Cannon is designed for outdoor use only! It should never be operated indoors or in other poorly ventilated areas.
Does the liquid propane gas used by the M14-1 Scare Cannon present an explosion or fire hazard?
Propane gas is extremely flammable, and precautions must be taken to ensure safe operation of any scare cannon. No smoking or open flame is permitted within 50 feet of cannon. Do not alter the LPG regulator or tank connector in any way. Use only with OPD equipped tanks of not more than 40lbs.
Does Good Life sell propane gas and/or propane tanks?
We do not sell or ship propane gas or propane tanks. The M14-1 Scare Cannon is compatible with standard OPD equipped 20lb or 35lb pre-filled propane tanks, which should be available locally in most areas.
Can the M14-1 Scare Cannon be used to fire projectiles?
Never under any circumstances! Never point the M14-1 Scare Cannon toward people, obstruct the barrel, or attempt to fire projectiles.
Can the M14-1 Scare Cannon cause hearing damage?
At over 130dB, the M14-1 Scare Cannon is capable of producing sound levels that may result in hearing loss. Hearing protection must be worn at all times by anyone within 50 feet of an operating sound cannon.
Where is the M14-1 Scare Cannon manufactured?
The M14-1 Scare Cannon and its tripod are proudly assembled in the U.S.A. from components predominantly manufactured in the U.S.A.
Is the M14-1 Scare Cannon waterproof?
The M14-1 Scare Cannon is weatherproof and able to withstand harsh outdoor environments. It should not, however, ever be submerged.
